"The Summer 2015 Tom Ford Soleil Collection captures the sensuality of summer. Eyes smolder in burnished tones or metallic shades while cheeks glow with luminous warmth. Completing the captivating effect, the Tom Ford Shimmer Body Oil veils the skin in golden light." I was fortunate enough to see all the products in the flesh back in January while I was in New York for Fashion Week, so I am excited to finally unveil all the specifics! More photos and details after the jump!
As expected, all the color products are limited edition. I anticipate most of the Eye Duos will sell out during pre-sell — especially the warmer two shades.

The TOM FORD CREAM AND POWDER EYE COLOR ($60 each) "pairs two coveted formulas in one to create a lustrous and sexy summertime eye. The ultra-pigmented, metallic cream shadow glides onto lids and the sparkling celestial powder intensifies the look with shimmer. Each shade can be worn alone or layered, delivering multiple finishes and looks." All my readers know how dedicated I am to Tom Ford's glittering celestial eyeshadow formula, so I was, naturally, overjoyed to see new shades being released. The rose gold, true bronze, charcoal, and warm titanium cream eye colors are also gorgeous and pair beautifully with each of the celestials. These are low-maintenance and fuss-free. I'm buying back-ups!
The TOM FORD EYE AND CHEEK COMPACT in PINK GLOW ($95) "..features three eyeshadows and two cheek colors to create a sensuous look." This is perhaps the most popular item from this Summer 2015 collection. Again, I am looking forward to experimenting with the new celestial eyeshadow in the palette. You might remembered the jaw-dropping Unabashed version from last summer, but Pink Glow is universally flattering and easier to approach for everyday wear. Plus, rose gold and vibrant plum tones are all the rage right now.
The TOM FORD CREAM CHEEK COLOR in PINK SAND ($65) "instantly brightens the face for a healthy glow and natural burst of color. The pearlized, peach-pink shade gives cheeks gorgeous luster and a stunning radiant finish." Since I have acne scarring on my cheeks, I am always hesitant about wearing creams. This new Tom Ford formula, however, has a plush gel-like formula that soothes the skin and gives it the illusion of bouncier skin. It also has golden shimmer fused into the base, so you can skip highlighter! I think this is perfect when paired with a minimal base and lots of mascara for a quick beach look. The packaging will be the same size as the mini bronzers (continue reading).
The TOM FORD SHIMMERING BODY OIL ($95) "creates the effect of glowing skin and temps the senses with an alluring fragrance. This silky and lightweight oil illuminates the skin with shimmers of gold and platinum leaf." This formula feels more like a gel than a traditional oil, and there is no greasy residue on the skin. I can't wait to slather this on my dry limbs!
Now for the biggest news of all! The BRONZING POWDERS in Terra and Gold Dust (0.75 oz, $95 each) will be transitioning to the white lacquered packaging all year round. Goodbye, cognac! The MINI BRONZERS (0.29 oz, $65 each) are a permanent addition to the lineup moving forward, so you can leave your large version at home on your vanity. The mini bronzer is not just travel friendly; the price will also give many the opportunity to try the smooth powder formula before committing to a full-sized bronzer.
Left to Right: Sweet Spot, Rose Soleil, Paradiso, Skinnydip |
The LIP COLOR SHEERS ($50 each) are permanent as well. I love this moisturizing formula, so I highly recommend you give one a try this season! Two of the shades (Sweet Spot and Paradiso) are repromotes. I generally prefer the colors without shimmer, but all of them look so effortless worn, especially on dressed "down" days. These Lip Color Sheers have more pigment, a satiny finish, and longer-wearing formula in comparison to the balmy, glossy wet finish of Tom Ford's Lip Shines.
To complete the collection is the new TOM FORD FLEUR DE PORTOFINO fragrance (50mL, $215). "The fourth Eau de Parfum in the Neroli Portofino collection, Fleur de Portofino is the caprtivating, floral component of the eau-fraiche vibrancy of Neroli Portofino, the oceanic woodiness of Coasta Azzurra, and the citrus-herbal effervescence of Manadrino di Amalfi." I adore NP but have always found it too masculine on my skin. I tried on Fleur de Portofino and fell in love! It dries down noticeably softer with a natural honey accord.
Most Tom Ford counters should receive their shipments in three weeks, depending on location. Neiman Marcus Newport told me to prep for the last week of April, so get your orders in! Saks Fifth Avenue is taking pre-orders in store. Neiman Marcus has the whole collection online for pre-order, with the expected ship date set as May 4th. Don't forget to reach out to my friend Holly (949.759.1900 ext 2121) or my sister Patricia (949.220.3366) to chat over your wishlist!
Everything looks absolutely luxurious and amazing.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! x
Deleteimmediately ordered the rose gold one after reading your article, so excited!
ReplyDeleteYay! You're going to love it. I have been waiting years, hoping and praying for these eye duos! They're genius!
DeleteWihout a doubt, this is the collection of the season! It's simply stunning and will undoubtedly sell out.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to resist! I am so excited for the eye duos!!
DeleteI just read that the cream colors are all repromotes except black oyster. I hope that's not true but I read that they are pink haze, spring 2015 and spice.
ReplyDeleteYup, I just got the samples in and it's true. I still think it's worth getting the two lighter shades. Pink Haze and Spice (from their original launches) would have expired by now and should have been tossed out.
