Spring 2012 Style/Fashion Look Book Video Details

Spending so much time on all the Spring make-up and nail coverage me inspired to create this look book! I tried to cover as many of the style trends as possible in this 5-minute video: color blocking, lace accents, coral anything and everything, oversized blouses, high low hems, and the comeback of the cropped denim jacket. Platform heels and wedges are a given these days, and the accessories are bold and fun.. just how I like it! As promised, here is an in-depth video review of the newly launched Lancome Rouge in Love Lipsticks. I also picked up a couple of the Lancome Le Vernis nail polishes to show you! These awesome nail lacquers are only available in store at Nordstrom and online through Lancome's website right now, but they should hit all counter in May, according to Temptalia.com. I hope you enjoy seeing the lipsticks being applied in real time, and that it gives you a better idea of the color coverage as well as texture! My lips are sensitive, very dry, and of medium mauve pigmentation :)

Spring 2012 Limited Edition Make-up Top Picks & Shopping Guide

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stains Review & Swatches, Part 1

Yes, you read that correctly. I was able to get quite a few swatches of the highly elusive YSL Glossy Stains, $32 each. The full range is currently available at Sephora and one shade is exclusive to Nordstrom. But now that these are my Holy Grail liquid lipstick formula, I was determined to swatch (and buy) more shades. I stalked the Sephora at South Coast Plaza for the last four weeks (over the phone) and finally, my patience was rewarded. Thank goodness for Stephanie P., the most helpful and supportive Sephora sales associate I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!

Lancome Corail in Love Lipstick Review, Photos, Orange/Coral Comparison Swatches

My favorite coral lipstick of the moment is Lancome's Corail in Love Rouge in Love lipstick. It's a little bright, a touch mod, and perfect for my skin tone. Tangerines, corals, and oranges are very popular this Spring, and Corail in Love is an excellent way to participate in the trend without going too far out of your comfort zone! I swatched it along with three other shades in the range for comparison purposes.

MAC Butterfly Party Crushed Metal Pigment Review, Photos, Swatches

This is the first stack of MAC Crushed Metal Pigments I have ever purchased. I prefer working with pressed shadows, which are far less messy, but this set was too beautiful to pass up. This particular limited edition stack from the Vera Collection, $34, comes with four highly metallic shades - Rain Drop, Moss Garden, Butterfly Party, and Desert Cloud.

MAC Call Me Bubbles Eyeshadow Quad from Shop Shop Shop Cook Cook Cook Review, Photos, Swatches

I have not purchased a MAC eyeshadow quad in years. The Shop Shop Shop Cook Cook Cook Collection includes three eyeshadow quads, Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, and Colour Added. Call Me Bubbles did not strike me as a must have from the swatches I saw online, but once I saw it in store, I knew it was worth the splurge. Then I applied it to my lids and fell in love. 

MAC Spring 2012 Collections Vera, Cook/Shop, Tour de Fabulous Review + Tutorial Video Details

I know I said the Laura Mercier Review + Tutorial video would be the last of Spring 2012 collection coverage, but I got an overwhelming request for a MAC review. I wasn't interested enough in a single MAC collection to review it alone and to be frank, there are just too many MAC collections released each season for me to cover them all! That's why I came up with this collective review. I did lose a bit of the footage when transferring the files to my computer, but I hope you'll still find the quick tutorial at the end helpful. Tammy said the final look made me look like a Twilight vampire, one that only eats animals LOL I think it was the combination of the warm brown contacts and the coral-themed eye! Hope you enjoy :)

Lancome Rouge in Love Lipsticks in Corail in Love, Violette Coquette, Rose Rendez Vous, Sequence of Love, and Delicate Lace Review, Photos, Swatches

Lancome recently released the Rouge in Love lipstick collection, which attracted so much attention right off the bat due to several shades being worn by a bevy of celebrities on the red carpet! A lot of you asked me to review the range, so I decided to film a complete video to discuss the packaging and formula, which I should have uploaded sometime next week. I'll apply each of the lipsticks directly to my lips, which will allow you to see exactly how they apply straight from the tube. Today, however, I'll just show you swatches of the six shades I received, courtesy of Lancome.

Suqqu is the most popular Japanese make-up brand on the market right now, and it is easy to see why. One of the most recent additions to my Suqqu collection is thanks to the lovely Xiao of Messy Wands. She was traveling through London and was generous enough to oblige my requests!
