Juice Beauty Organic & Natural Makeup Review + "Juicy Glam" Tutorial

Juice Beauty has finally unveiled their complete, well-edited lineup of natural and organic cosmetics. I cannot live without the Clearing Mask and signature Full Strength Apple Peel, so I was very excited to share my favorite Juice Beauty makeup products as well. I reviewed some of the products in the introduction and then demonstrated my take on the "Juicy Glam" look as outlined on their website. It is a natural yet feminine look that is appropriate for any occasion! Please feel free to let me know in the comments section if you would like to see swatches of any products shown in the video below.

For those unaware, Juice Beauty products are authentically organic, free of silicones, and solar power manufactured. You will not find intricate designer logos or fancy packaging in this makeup collection, but I love that the Juice Beauty brand is not pretentious and just strives to do what it does best.. innovate and create the best possible organic solutions.

Weekend Beauty Bargains: Benefit, bareMinerals, Laura Gellar, and Smashbox

In case you haven't heard, ULTA is currently hosting their 21 Days of Beauty event, which is a three week long extravaganza with daily Beauty Steals, free gifts, events, and free consultations. Nearly all of these on-sale items are too good to pass up, and it's perfect timing to stock up in preparation for holiday gift giving! You can snap up these deals in store or online (2 per customer). I tweeted and posted Instagram photos of some of the incredible 21 Days of Beauty promotions from the start of the event, but this weekend has some of the best buys for the month! Here are my thoughts and recommendations xo

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21, 2013

Benefit The Sexy Steal -- A trio with two eyeshadows and one lip gloss is valued at $54 is ONLY $18! This is personal favorite of the four deals because the Velvet is Benefit's best eyeshadow formula, and the color of the gloss is what I consider the ideal pale peach-pink.

bareMinerals Blushes and All-Over Face Colors -- Regularly $19 a pop, any of the gorgeous blushes or easy to wear face powders are JUST $10 each! I highly recommend the Vintage Peach blush and Warmth All-Over Color.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2013

Laura Gellar Beauty Balance-n-Brighten in Medium & Brush -- A duo valued at $48 can be yours for ONLY $20! This baked powder foundation color corrects the skin and gives the skin a glowing finish (formulated without mineral oil).

Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener -- Normally sold at $20 each, this is 50% OFF and a mere $10 apiece! This is best applied before concealer to help reduce dark circles and smooth out wrinkles.

P.S. Some of you have been running into the problem where the discounted pricing is not reflected. Instead of searching directly for the product on the site, click on the promotional product's photo on this page here: http://www.ulta.com/21days. Happy shopping!

Tom Ford Fall 2013 Eye Defining Pen in Deeper Eyeliner Review, Photos, Swatches

Tom Ford finally released a liquid eyeliner, and it is flat out phenomenal. The Eye Defining Pen in Deeper, $55 USD, is a dual-ended eyeliner pen with one of the richest, satin-matte black formulas I have ever encountered. I was hesitant at first since it is not a waterproof formula, which is best for my hooded almond eyes, but my expectations were far exceeded at first swipe. Check out more details and full eye looks after the jump!

Tom Ford Fall 2013 Lip Color in Vanilla Suede, Crimson Noir, and Bruised Plum Lipsticks Review, Photos, Swatches

Tom Ford's Fall 2013 collection boasts four unique lipsticks, two of which I own and have already reviewed in the past. This review will discuss all the shades but showcase the Tom Ford Lip Colors in Crimson Noir and Bruised Plum, $49 USD each. These brand new colors may look intimidating at first since Crimson Noir sounds like dried blood and Bruised Plum reminds me of fruit I'd rather not eat. Rest easy, though, because these are some of the loveliest Lip Colors that Tom Ford has ever released. See all details and swatches after the jump!

Hair: Easy, Retro Romantic Curls Tutorial + Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron Review

This is the fastest, easiest way to achieve long lasting curls! I love that the Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron ($119 USD) is lightweight and heats up in seconds. I can brush out my curls for a more retro look or simply run my fingers through them for a more spiral effect. The 25mm barrel is best for medium to long hair, but since my hair is extra long these days, I am very curious to see what results I can achieve with the 38mm version. Whichever size you choose, this curling wand is a great investment, and now I cannot ever imagine using a traditional curling iron ever again! The coated barrel leaves my hair feeling silky, and there is noticeably less damage to the lengths of my hair than with other curling iron tools. Yes, there may be more affordable options out there, but it's better to splurge for quality. I hope you find the tutorial helpful!

Tom Ford Eye Primer Duo Review, Photos, Swatches

The Tom Ford Eye Primer Duo, $45 USD,  is new for Fall 2013. It is a pairing of exceptional powder and cream formulas that is designed to work with Tom Ford's eye colors. The chic stackable packaging with a mirror in the top lid conserves space on any vanity counter or in a cosmetics bag, making this a travel-friendly product. The literature claimed to deliver fifteen-hour hold as well as color-rich staying power, so I was very excited for this release. Check out the swatches after the jump!

Makeup Collection + Organization with Sherrieblossom's ICEbOX Photos & Review

I have received plenty of video requests over the years, but the makeup collection and organizational video is undoubtedly the most requested of all. After years of constant shuffling, countless failed attempts and wasted dollars, I can now share with you an a few attractive, easily manageable options to store beauty products. This is more of a storage inspiration video than a "show and tell" collection video because I wanted to keep it as short as possible.
NOTE: Please bear in mind that the amount of makeup I own is due to my work. Makeup is my life.

Today I started with the Sherrieblossom ICEbOX Wide, which is a stunning, extra-large makeup organizer. My photos and video could not capture the clarity of the artisan-crafted acrylic, but do check out the awesome photos that Brooke of Blushing Noir captured. Like she says, you can tell that the ICEbOX was made with care just by looking at it. I only wish I could find nail polish racks that were made of such thick and glossy, high caliber acrylic! There are more affordable "knock offs" on the market, but these organizers should last decades with proper care. It's best to invest a little more for the real deal.

There are several different sizes available, such as the Shorty Wide or Shorty Skinny. They look much smaller, but these organizers can hold a lot more makeup than you would think! The ICEbOX Wide that I featured is $395 USD and measures 15Lx12Lx12H. Extra inserts are sold separately for an additional $15 per unit. You can purchase the Sherrieblossom organizers directly through their site or at select Neiman Marcus stores!

My other acrylic organizers are from the Container Store, brush cup holders from Sigma, and all the furniture from Ikea. The plastic from the Linus organizer range is not as smooth or durable as Sherrieblossom's, but it holds up well enough for light storage.

I hope this gives you a better idea of what storage options might be best for your makeup collection!

Tom Ford Show Me The Pink (25) Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches

Tom Ford Show Me the Pink ($32 USD) is my favorite new peach shimmer. This polish may cost a pretty penny, but I think it is worth the investment. It suits my complexion and pairs well with most outfits. It is difficult for me to resist easy, no-brainer shades like this since I reach for my low maintenance pinks and peaches most regularly. Lancôme DreamTone Customized Skin Tone Correcting Serum for Dark Spots, Uneven Skin Tone, and Color Imperfections

Lancôme recently introduced a trio of new serums to their powerful skin care line-up, and I have been flooded with requests on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to review it. I am glad to announce that I will indeed be reviewing DreamTone sometime this month, and I will begin testing the product this weekend. I am so excited to share my thoughts with you because I have seen so many rave reviews online already! For now, here is some information on these new customized skin tone correcting serums.

WHO IS IT FOR?
DreamTone is for the woman seeking visible dark spot correction and a more even skin tone. She wants skin so naturally beautiful, she can dare to bare her skin.

WHAT IS IT?
DreamTone is a new generation skin tone clarifying serum that not only corrects the look of dark spots, but also goes beyond to correct the appearance of uneven skin tone and color imperfections. The serum is customized to skin's specific needs — such as treating the look of dark spots or redness.

WHAT DOES IT TARGET?
A global study on women of multiple ethnicities resulted in three formulas adapted to specific skin tones:
  • Fair: Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and provides specific color correction for the look of redness
  • Medium: Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and provides specific color correction for the look of sallowness (olive)
  • Dark: Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and provides specific color correction for the look of acne & blemish marks

HOW DOES IT ENHANCE SKIN TONE?
Based on the L'Oréal Skin Color Chart and using the Fitzpatrick scale, soft-focus tinted pearls were carefully selected for each formula. As a result, each skin tone can enjoy the benefits of light scattering technology that refracts and diffuses, for a more even and radiant surface that is perfectly complimented with just the right amount and type of light.

THE RESULTS
Immediately: 74% saw glowing skin
7 Days: 70% reported a more even skin tone and 76% saw dullness reduced
4 Weeks: 69% noted the appearance of dark spots reduced
8 Weeks: 78% saw color imperfections reduced
SO POWERFUL, 72% OF WOMEN DARED TO BARE THEIR SKIN!

PRICING & AVAILABILITY:
$98 (1.3 oz.)
Available this Fall at Lancôme counters and www.lancome.com

NOTE: I have been asked what the difference between Visionnaire and DreamTone is, as I have been one of Visionnaire's biggest fans since its release. Since I have not yet tried DreamTone on my face, I assume the primary distinction is that Visionnaire focuses on tightening up the pores and smoothing out lines while DreamTeam is intended specifically for correcting dark spots and other color imperfections. I will report back in the review what the differences in texture and results are!
