I tried to explain and demonstrate all products in 15 minutes but it was impossible to do without leaving out information. If you have already read my Tom Ford Beauty First Impressions post, you should be able to skip the first half of the video. My video review is more in-depth and my opinions are much more solid in nature, due to the fact I have tested the products thoroughly now and have final judgments, but feel free to skip ahead to 12:25 if you just want to see the products in action.
I posted a preview picture of this look in my last post, which is a full review of the Tom Ford Beauty Eye Color Quad in Cognac Sable (please refer to the post for all swatches and comparison photos). It's my favorite warm eye/warm lip combination I've put together thus far and I hope you'll see why!

I didn't purchase any other products from his range because I did not have enough interest [Shade & Illuminate - I prefer powder contour products] or I found it overpriced [nail polish, brow pencil - better & cheaper alternatives]. My friend Michael, however, has a great review of the Shade & Illuminate cream contour compact uploaded on YouTube if you're interested - click here to watch!

Hi Rae,
ReplyDeleteI would love to order some Tom Ford's blush colors too.
I'm thinking about Love Lust, Savage and Flush/frantic Pink.
I read a review of a blogger and found that the fantic pink appeared to be very sheer...
Hard to decide if i should choose Flush or Frantic Pink.
Can you suggest?
Thank you~

Found this through Beauty Look Book. Your eyes are flawless! I like how you keep the camera shot tight on one eye so we can see the exact placement and technique. I'm deaf so I can't follow what you're saying, but your video tutorials are so useful. Count me as a fan.
ReplyDeleteDorothy - You shouldn't have issues with Frantic Pink if you are fair-skinned. Flush is much deeper so it's not an appropriate comparison, really, since it's not pink at all so it just depends on what kind of blush look you like!
ReplyDeleteLeigh - Thank you very much! And I'm glad they can help :)
I absolutely adore the TF lipsticks, definitely one of my favorites all around. Love this tutorial, you're very spot on and informative and when you work it's all around very visible, which is honestly really hard to find!
ReplyDeleteI noticed the YSL cream eyeliner went on quite smoothly, and as a liquid eyeliner junky looking to foray into gel/cream eyeliner territory, I was wondering if this was your favorite cream, or if you had another black gel or cream liner you could recommend? I'm really looking for something long wearing, with good pigmentation with a good application. I've used L'Oreal's HIP liner, which I wasn't a huge fan of, and MAC's fluidline, which seemed nice. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated if you have the time!
Thanks so much!
ElleEss: I actually like Clinique's Brush-on Cream Liner! It's very smooth.
