I fell in love with La Ravinssante at first swatch. It looks orange when swatched on my hand but it's a bright coral-red on my lips, as seen below in my first [essentially bare] Face of the Day. This new Rouge Allure velvet luminous matte formula is impressive. All the shades are richly pigmented, with a matte yet moisturizing texture that hugs the curves of the lips and lasts for hours. The presence of silicone microbeads is noticeable as they plump up the lines in my lips, making them appear smoother, but they also contribute to the lightweight quality of the formula.

Now, I know this doesn't pertain to the post but I had my eyebrows shaped and waxed at a Benefit Brow Bar this afternoon and I think I'm in love! The service is indeed worth the $20 and my esthetician even filled in my brows with the Benefit Brow Zing in Dark. No double-dipping and the tweezing was painless. And today, I'm wearing Queenie Royal Grey lenses from Pinky Paradise.
Please note: The lipstick is much brighter in person!
Now for several other swatches:
Here are more swatches of colors I did not swatch on Messy Wands, Posey Lass, and Joey Chong's blog. I do believe I will go back and purchase 31 La Furtive, the nude beige I was not able to swatch, next week. [You can see the full face swatch on Joey's blog.] These lipsticks are addicting! They apply so easily, with no tugging or pulling. I found that applying directly from the tube and smoothing it out with a finger looked the best, as seen above in the face photo.
Conclusion: The finish reminds me of a less dense version of Lancome's Color Design Matte lipsticks, which are a more affordable alternative. The shade range that Chanel produced for the Rouge Allure Velvet collection, however, is perfection and is bound to satisfy even those with matte lipstick hesitations.
