Eve by Eve's Cosmetics Review, Photos + Swatches ♡ Eyeliners, Lipsticks, Lipglosses, Brow Pencils, Blushes, and Brushes

I've been testing the entire Eve by Eve's cosmetic range for the past few weeks, so I wanted to share my thoughts and some swatches with you! Eve by Eve's is a luxury boutique brand based out of Beverly Hills, California. Their makeup is made in Japan, Korea, and Italy, and almost everything I have tried has pleasantly surprised me. I especially adore their Drama Luxe Lipsticks!

I am most impressed with Eve by Eve's Liquid Eyeliner Pen, which I have been using daily. It layers fairly well without creasing or balling up, and it is almost as black as Tom Ford's Deeper liquid liner. I also use it to tightline between the lashes for a seamless effect. The felt tip is flexible and easy to use so this is a great option for beginners. It bleeds just a touch on the outer corners of my eyes after six hours, but otherwise, it is a pretty phenomenal pen!

I've tried dozens of gel eyeliners over the years, and although MAC and Bobbi Brown's are still the reigning champs in terms of popularity, they smudge on me. Eve by Eve's gel liners are made in Japan and do not budge at all on my panda-prone eyes! I almost always wear the black since it matches my eyelashes, but the brown is better suited for those with lighter lashes and natural "no makeup" days.

The best Eve by Eve's makeup product, in my opinion, are the Drama Luxe Lipsticks. The packaging is very sleek and understated, but the lightweight satin finish formula is phenomenal! They glide like silk and do not accentuate my sensitive flaky lips. The Drama Luxe are a creamier, more emollient version of Christian Louboutin's Velvet Matte lipsticks, which are exponentially more expensive and slightly powdery in comparison. Pat a little bit of Eve by Eve's HD Loose Powder on top of the Drama Luxe lipstick to achieve a finish that is more similar to the CL.

L to R: Golden Ray, Dusty Rose, Satin Cerise, Summer Fuchsia, French Rose, Winter Iris, Cherry Pie, Velvet Rose, Ballet Pink, Bubble Pink, Rose Bouquet, Orange Blossom, Red Carpet
Every lipstick and lipgloss color will look different depending on the lighting situation! The vertical swatches were taken in cool bright light while the horizontal swatches were shot in warm faint light.

The HD Loose Powder packaging could use a half-moon twist lid to make it more travel friendly, but the formula exceeded all my expectations. It has a subtle pink color makes my skin look brighter. Eve by Eve's powder is best suited for dry to normal skin since it does not accentuate dry patches or fine lines. It's a super finely milled, creamier version of Laura Mercier's revered classic. I don't normally like loose powders, but this one has a soft focus effect that reduces the look of large pores around my nose and makes my skin feel supremely soft and smooth. It does not flash back in photos.

The Conditioning Eyebrow Pencil is made in Korea, and it is by far one of the best I have used to create the straight brow look I've been sporting recently. The formula has more wax than I normally like to use on my eyebrows, but it's ultra smooth and doesn't clump or flake! It's very impressive, actually, since most brow pencils that are capable of adding density tend to be crumbly. I can only wear the Dark Brown shade since the other two shades lean red on my skin.

The Lip Lusters are a slightly thinner, non-sticky formula that's reminiscent of Dior's Addict lip glosses. The high shine finish helps my lips look significantly fuller and the moisturizing texture feels soothing! If you have dry lips that are prone to flaking, I recommend trying the shades without shimmer or with very low shimmer content like Eva Rouge, Red Carpet, and Bubble Pink. I love that the flat doe foot applicator actually holds onto product so I don't have to dip back into the tube more than twice to cover my lips completely.

The Cream Blushes are offered in five shades that are universally flattering. Pink Dust and Cherry Blossom are my favorites because they are easy to use daily. They have a nearly fluid texture, not quite as thick or rich as your traditional cream blush.

Eve by Eve's offers a complete lineup of makeup brushes. My favorite styles are the No. 7 Angled Blush Brush to apply the HD loose powder to my oily patches such as the chin, smile lines, and between the eyes, as well as the No. 6 Blush Brush to dust on powder blushes for the most natural flush possible. The No. 9 Orbit Brush is my top eye pick since the shape is ideal for buffing and blending color onto smaller lids, especially hooded eyes. I also find that the No. 4 Foundation Brush is perfect for blending concealer under the eyes and blending cream blush onto the apples of the cheeks!

  2. It would be very helpful if you write down the shades for the blush swatches.
