Shu Uemura Fall 2014 Brave Beauty Collection Review, Photos, Tutorial

I love the concept of this Brave Beauty campaign. In my opinion, brave beauty is all about assertiveness. Some colors and trends can be intimidating, but researching, practicing, and wearing any look of your choice with confidence makes all the difference! Branch out and experiment. Makeup is about reinventing yourself just as much as it is about embracing/enhancing your features, so try to relax and have fun! More photos and individual product breakdowns after the jump!

Shu Uemura's Fall 2014 colors are bold and pigmented yet wearable, with memorable accents. The studs surprised me the most, but I love how edgy they feel. They remind me of piercings! The false lashes are — by far — the heaviest and most dramatic I have ever worn, but I think they would be perfect for cosplay or Halloween!

The Rouge Unlimited lipsticks are my favorite pieces from this collection because of the watercolor packaging. I adore Shu Uemura lip products' quality in general, but the hot pink and cool nude-pink are statement lipsticks. They are richly pigmented and pair well with any gloss!

The new Satin Radiant Sticks are beautifully done. These highlighters/blushes are just creamy enough to glide across the skin, but they dry down almost immediately. The satin finish is gorgeous! It warms up and becomes more luminous with wear. I almost always prefer powder products, but these Radiant Sticks will be absolutely lovely during the chilly fall and winter days.

Shu Uemura eyeshadows are some of my most worn, and the new Fall palettes are no exception. The Brave Beauty Eyeshadow Palette in Pink may look too bright at first glance, but the silky and buttery textures make this a must-have! I also love that Shu Uemura has been releasing more of these 6-pan versions, since they offer much more variety and versatility than the 4-pan palettes. The pale pink and lavender shades are my favorite thus far!

The Lasting Gel Liner has a unique, firm formula, which makes it ideal for lining the upper lash line. This pencil also performs fairly well in my waterlines. Smudging is minimal after four hours, but do carry it with you in case touch-ups are necessary.

I highly recommend all the Shu Uemura's Fall 2014 products. Every detail from formulation to packaging has been articulated with flair! I thought the Mika x Shu collaboration was my favorite, but this Brave Beauty collection might change my mind. If you haven't tried Shu Uemura yet, you're definitely missing out! 1. The packaging looks so girly and spring-like - pretty! Besides their lashes and eyelash curler, I haven't tried their makeup products before. If you give the good ol' thumbs up, I should give it a shot!
