I've been shopping at ULTA Beauty lately because there's one on my regular route to the gym, so I wanted to share my most recent haul goodies with you! I honestly find it easier to shop at Ulta because I don't have to walk into a mall, which is far less convenient than a freestanding store. Plus, I love wandering aimlessly through all the drugstore aisles to see new releases and mass market trends.
Earlier this year when Urban Decay launched at Nordstrom, I featured my favorite products from the brand in a comprehensive review. Today I am going to show you the latest and greatest launches as well as a couple items I bought based on glowing reviews!
The color of the season is neutral. I have seen it all over Nordstrom's beauty department, where every beauty ad is featuring minimal makeup in nude, neutral color palettes. Urban Decay has evolved so much as a brand. Their beautiful eyeshadows and 'Naked' theme revolutionized the beauty industry, so to celebrate their re-launch at Nordstrom, I wanted to share my recommendations! I love that Nordstrom is bringing in more and more cutting-edge, modern brands because variety is essential for today's savvy shoppers. Urban Decay offers quality, affordable products that make beauty more fun! Now, I may not reach for these products daily, but this Top 8 edit features what I consider the best of Urban Decay. The month of May has flown by! I cannot believe how many products I have discovered through friends and traveling, so I will share some of my new foundation finds with you. Please note, I will compile a comparison review of my cushions as soon as I receive the new Laneige Pore Control version, which just launched (and is only available) in Asia. Many thanks again to my friend Leanne for coming to the rescue! I also have several products I have been using for months now — such as my beloved Mason Pearson brush and 3LAB 'Super h' Serum — that I am glad to finally announce are absolutely worth the indulgence. This Easy Interview Makeup tutorial is a basic template look for all polished working women. If you are comfortable with wearing more, try keeping the color to a minimum with soft pinks and neutral browns and most importantly, blend thoroughly! If you prefer wearing less, then by all means skip a couple steps in the tutorial. Just make sure to focus on beautiful skin and prep the night before with a SK-II Facial Treatment Mask as a boost. I love filming Favorites videos! I know these tend to be on the longer side, but I still end up tossing out quite a bit of footage while editing. For example, I wanted to discuss the Smashbox Full Exposure Eyeshadow palette that I'm holding up in the photo. It's a pretty neutral palette, but I decided to save my thoughts for a blog post instead. That way, you can take a comprehensive look at each of the swatches as well as my application tips & tricks in one go! I know some may be disappointed that I was not able to include a Hakuhodo brushes update, but the truth is, I absolutely love every single brush I purchased at IMATS! I have only washed one thus far, so I will put together a brush round-up review with comparisons to similar brush head styles after I have washed all seven. And without further ado, here are the products that made January's cut!
It is a very exciting weekend for beauty fiends, as IMATS has finally reached Los Angeles! I was fortunate enough to shop on Pro Night yesterday, so I picked up some fabulous goodies. I am saved up as much as I could for Hakuhodo brushes, and I am overjoyed with the performance of the styles I have chosen. Still, I wish I had been able to purchase more!
Don't forget to check out the IMATS Exhibitor Map so that you know exactly which booths to head to. Sunday is a tough day to shop since lots of top sellers will be sold out, so go prepared with a wish list and prioritize your time! MAC was selling all their Pro goods at 20% off, and you may use your Pro Card for additional discounts if you have one that is up to date. Plastic only, must pay tax. Now, Hakuhodo never offers discounts, but I was happy enough that I did not have to pay taxes on my purchases. Don't forget to swing by Velour Lashes and stock up on the best luxury false lashes on the market! I already hoard mine but never hesitate to buy more whenever I get the chance because I'm nutty like that. Last but not least, visit the far left end of the makeup arena to purchase Parian Spirit brush wipes and Violet Voss cosmetics glitters and rhinestoned accessories.
