MAC Cosmetics recently launched the Eyes on MAC Collection featuring several pre-set, color coordinated eyeshadow palettes. Today I will share my thoughts on the limited edition, Nordstrom Naturals x 15 edition, which was specifically curated to spotlight Nordstrom's bestselling MAC eyeshadows! I was thrilled to see that this palette offers the perfect balance between matte and shimmery textures. I also find the Nordstrom Naturals palette the most versatile because of the wide variety of highlighter, transitional, and smoky colors. You can actually use some of the shades to fill in eyebrows or use them wet as eyeliner! All swatches and complete look after the jump xo
This Nordstrom exclusive "Nordstrom Naturals" palette contains Vapour, All That Glitters, Wedge, Satin Taupe, Honey Lust, Ricepaper, Amber Lights, Saddle, Mulch, Woodwinked, Omega, Brun, Embark, Beauty Marked, and Carbon. All 15 eyeshadow would cost you $160 if purchased individually, but the palette is a bargain at $85!
Ricepaper is very similar to my skin color, so the swatch is quite subtle. I will share how it looks on the eyes in an upcoming tutorial. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows. I've always been a collector of rare and limited edition products, but this Nordstrom Natural Palette has me excited about permanent shades! Since the packaging is lightweight and the colors so wearable, I plan to travel with this palette.
In the tutorial below, I used Vapour, All That Glitters, Honey Lust, Saddle, Woodwinked and Brun (no eyeshadow primer). This warm rose gold and copper look is right on trend with the "new neutrals" theme that has been so popular this Spring! I do not wear a cut crease look often, but this one is subtle and incredibly flattering on hooded and/or almond eyes.
Products Used:
MAC x15 Nordstrom Naturals Eye Palette
MAC 8 False Lashes
MAC 242 Brush
MAC 239 Brush
Bottom Line: This Nordstrom Naturals palette is a worthwhile investment!
Do you think this would be redundant if one owns the original Naked palette? I'd be grateful for your insight.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not! These MAC shades are warmer, fewer taupes/grey-tones!
DeleteWow, that is lethally all my perfect shades in one palette! Gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteI've never so happy with a MAC palette! I definitely prefer this to all the Naked palettes :)
DeleteRae, your lips look so luscious!! I know this post wasn't lip focused but please tell me what you're wearing!
ReplyDeleteI posted the details on Twitter! MAC Julia Petit lipstick and lipglass.. the lipstick is sold out but you should still be able to find the gloss!
Deletethese mac products are always no.1......your red coloured hair is so pretty n you too
ReplyDeleteRae, how does this compare to YSL or shiseido eye shadows in terms of butteriness, pigment and elegance? I'm personally not as into Naked 2 because it's not buttery enough. Thanks! Em
