Welcome to the Ultimate Lip Junkie Guide! This is a compilation of my tried-n-true recommendations for those with dry, sensitive lips. I did my best to include as many different price points, textures, and colors. All of these products have worked beautifully for me but I will reiterate, not all those with sensitive lips have the same reactions to certain ingredients. I am not allergic to fragrances, but I am extremely sensitive to SPF in lip products. For example, I love my YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, especially Faubourg Peach and Rose Culte, but I hesitate to wear them unless I can prepare myself for some serious post-wear lip therapy. I featured lip balms, lip glosses, and lipsticks that are moisturizing, creamy, and worth the splurge, so I hope you will find this epic post helpful!
Lip Care:
1. Chanel Hydramax + Active Nutrition Lip Balm
*Apparently the whole Hydramax range is being discontinued, so sorry! I will be testing the Sisley Confort and By Terry Rose lip balms this year to see which I prefer to replace this beloved Chanel.

3. Sara Happ Lip Scrub in Pink Grapefruit
4. Hourglass No. 28 Lip Oil Treatment [review & swatches]
5. YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Lip Balms in 2 Papaya and 4 Pomegranate

This is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I never knew I have an allergy until you mentioned it in one of your posts. My symptoms are similar to yours: itchiness, red bumps, and finally followed by extreme chapped lips and peeling. Because of this, i am hesitant to try anything new. Thanks for sharing which brands, types of lip products works for you. I will definitely try them out!
ReplyDeleteTHE PRETTIEST SHADES EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are seriously skin twins! I have the same skins issues as you! :) Thanks for the reccos - I know I can always count on them!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Dior Lipglow? What were you thoughts on that? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Rae, I have the same problems - flaky lips and very pigmented. I envy girls who pull off a nude or matte lipsticks and do not need to worry about dryness.
ReplyDeleteThis video will help me so much, I cant thank you enough
xx
Thanks for doing this in-depth review! I just bought a few of the items you recommended since I have the same lip issues in terms of dryness and flaking. I bought the Chanel hydromax lip balm, the Chanel glossimers in Sonate and Constellation, and the Giorgio Armani flash lacquers in 107 and 519. Super happy so far. BTW photos don't do Constellation justice! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased I found this list. My lips are very particular and I'll be trying a few of these formulas soon!
