IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain in Inspiring Red Review, Photos, Swatches

IT Cosmetics is one of my favorite new brands. Their innovate and effective — yet affordable — products are taking the blogosphere by storm, and the praise is well deserved. Today I will introduce to you the paraben-free Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain in Inspiring Red ($24 USD). I rarely wear shimmery red glosses, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how versatile this color was on my lips. Click to see swatches after the jump!

There are four shades of the Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain available: Je Ne Sais Quoi, Naturally Flushed, Sweet Rose, and Inspiring Red. The truly innovative formula is chock-full of the best ingredients like collagen, hyaluronic acid, plum oil, cherry oil, shea butter, avocado oil, Argan oil, and jojoba. The result is a lip product that treats, hydrates, conditions, and nourishes the lips.

IT Cosmetics writes, "All shades can be worn individually or together for a super hydrating, sheer, naturally pretty flush of color that lasts!" Follow the directions as listed on the packaging and apply this Gloss Stain directly to bare lips. I tried wearing this over a nude lipstick, but it bled ever so slightly into my upper lip lines. When worn as directed, this Hydrating Gloss Stain actually minimizes the appearance of lip lines and wrinkles. The anti-aging properties of this lip gloss stain allow it to repair the condition of my lips while it is worn, leaving my lips soft and smooth at the end of the day.

The Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain in Inspiring Red glides on like a lightweight serum and stains evenly with full coverage color. I was so impressed that it lasted all day through food and drink, though the gloss did fade away after two hours. I did not see any peeling from the stain at the end of the day, which is normal and expected on my dry lips with staining products. It must be due to the formula's Vitmains A, C, E, Acai, Green Tea and White Tea, which also ward off free-radicals! The shimmer did not irritate my lips at all.

Inspired Red is not quite as deep as the red velvet shade that it appears to be in the tube. Instead, it is a brightening rosy red with a strong pink lean. The first swipe yields a flush of naturally pretty rose (top swatch), but a second application builds up the color to a rich, full coverage pink-tinged red (bottom swatch). I prefer these cooler red shades since they make teeth look whiter and my complexion more even toned.
NOTE: The makeup worn in the above photos can be found listed HERE.

Bottom Line: All my expectations of this formula were exceeded, so I cannot wait to try Je Ne Sais Quoi, a pale pink, to see if the results match that of Inspiring Red!
