The Clé de Peau Beauté eyeshadow quad in 212 and the lipstick in 226 launched with the Spring 2014 La Boheme collection, but this duo makes up one of my favorite looks for Fall. I have been wearing the soft purple eye and mauve-nude lip combination often because it is incredibly chic yet romantic. Check out the individual product reviews and swatches after the jump!
I did not expect to fall head over heels for the 212 Eye Color Quad, but it may become one of my Clé de Peau must-haves. Though the ivory-pink kicked up a bit of powder, it did not irritate my sensitive eyes. I applied it to the inner corners and highly recommend layering it over a cream eyeshadow base like By Terry's Ombre Blackstar or Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick for best, long-wearing color pay off. The second shade in 212, the medium rose-pink, was applied all over the lids. The effect is subtle, but it smooths and defines the eyelids. It also makes an unexpected yet flattering transitional color due to the hint of beige in the color. The surprise in this palette, however, was the purple. It is beautifully pigmented, with a creamy texture and minimal fall out. I applied this to the outer corners of the eyes, but I recommend wearing it as a powder eyeliner for those who prefer more natural makeup.
The last mauve shade was not used for the look featured here, but it would work best on the lower lash line or across the lids in place of the rose-pink for a smokier, evening look. Now, I technically should have worn the Luminizing Face Enhancer in 14 Delicate Pink, which launched this Spring with the rest of the La Boheme collection. Alas, it slipped my mind and 13 was closer in reach, so that sums up why I am not wearing 14 in these photos. You can, however, check out my swatches of all four Clé de Peau highlighting powders here!
Enriched Lip Luminizer in 226 is utter perfection. Incredibly hydrating with the right amount of slip, this sheer lipstick is appropriate for any occasion. I have very dry and sensitive lips, so I am quite particular about my lip products. These spectacular Enriched Lip Luminizer Refills ($35 USD) are even better than their predecessors due to the more consistent pigmentation and longer wear time of four hours. The packaging has been updated as well. While the Refills look nearly identical, the ELL Holder ($25 USD) has been updated to a substantial navy tube. The rotating mechanism moves counter-clockwise and is not retractable, so click once or twice — no more — with every application.
Fabulous Fig 226 will flatter any complexion. The mauve-beige base provides enough color to prevent from washing out medium complexions while flattering the alabaster fair. I had anticipated the color might lean too brown, but the translucent nature of the formula makes this color so easy to wear. The glossy, water-like finish in conjunction with the nude-mauve color really helps my lips look healthier and fuller. I highly recommend Fabulous Fig!

So excited about this lip product. It looks like something I can wear on a daily basis and I think I have similar lips to yours so hopefully it won't dry them out.
