October 2013 Favorites [Hits & Misses] Featuring Guerlain, Chanel, 3LAB, EM Michelle Phan, etc.

October was a relatively relaxed beauty month. As some of you may have noticed, I was unable to post twice a week as I generally aim for. I experienced a few issues with my stomach and body aches the past couple weeks, but I am finally getting better! It feels good to film again, so I hope these favorites will be useful. Guerlain nail polish formulas are really giving my Chanel collection a run for the money, though I will always prefer Chanel's color selection. I am also loving Benefit, especially the new lip gloss I reviewed and the Gimme Brow Gel that I will use in a video later this week (please stay tuned)! I had to cut the Gimme Brow out of the video due to time constraints, but I know many of you are looking forward to a tutorial so I will feature it in action.
And if you haven't read my Best of 3LAB Review, please do check it out HERE because I think I have discovered my Holy Grail skin care brand. The products are expensive, but I have never been so pleasantly surprised by anti-aging skin care in years! Many of my readers and viewers think I still look young, but I am nearly 25 and can see slight signs of aging on my forehead. I am doing what I can to prevent the wrinkling from deepening as best as I can and reduce pigmentation/scars while I am at it! Last but not least, do check out the EM Cosmetics Waterliner eye pencils, which have incredible staying power on the waterlines. I am so thrilled with how budge-proof the metallic shades like Ro's Gold and Turquoise are!

    1. Definitely! It's a little dark on me, so I'll be purchasing my proper shade once it launches in N. America!

  3. Of course you look young....you are "almost 25"? And that's not young? Don't get me wrong, I totally believe in reasonable preventative skin care...I've been using undereye moisturizers and creams and oils since I was in my late teens, and more than 40 years later, I am mistaken for my granddaughter's mother, but please don't use anti-aging products at your age! You certainly don't need them!

    1. I've been using anti-aging products since I was 20, and my dermatologist has always supported my decision.

  5. I have been using anti-aging products since I was 20 as well, and no one has ever said anything but good things about starting young! I wish I had the money to try the 3Lab serum and see if I could see any skin improvements because other serums are hard to tell.

This is a silly question but are you holding the Evolution orange juice bottle in the caption but not in the video? I love Evolution juices!

    1. Yes, with exposure at all all-time high, it's best to start young. Save up for 3LAB's The Serum.. it's not outrageously priced and it absorbs so well. I'll be saving up for the Super H and will splurge for it after I finish up my new bottle of The Serum!

And yes, it is! I compared Evolution's Carrot Orange Mango to Suja's 24K juice, but I had to cut it out of the video since the review was too long. I'm glad to see you love Evolution, too! :)

  6. Thank you for another detailed video!
I've been subscribed for two years now and I really do appreciate the improved quality of videos. :) I can tell you put in a lot of effort into them! Your recommendations are always the best and I am definitely going to look into these products as well.

  7. I always love your recommendations because they have always worked for me. I want to purchase the serum but which one do you suggest i should get? the serum or the h serum? I am 29 and i have some acne scarring and uneven skintone. I am looking for the ultimate skin serum and i think 3lab might be it.
