Burberry Full Kisses in Coral Red and Cherry Blossom Review, Photos, Swatches

I have been wearing very minimal makeup as of the past few months, but lipstick has become an everyday essential. When I wore eyeliner and eyeshadow daily, a sheer and shimmery lip gloss felt more appropriate. Now that I keep it quite simple with my base and mascara, I find that a swipe of a full pigment makes me look much more polished and feel more confident. It's mandatory to look alive!

I've been loving the opaque and long-lasting colors of the new Burberry Full Kisses Lipsticks. Coral Red No.525 is my favorite out of the fourteen shades offered. I usually blend it out along the lip lines with a brush or a clean fingertip to create a vivid yet muted finish that is appropriate for any occasion. Burberry's Makeup Artistic Consultant Wendy Rowe recommends lining the lips with the contour pen in medium before applying the the Full Kisses in the nude shades to create volume and evenness. Different techniques yield different textures and looks, but that's why I've had fun experimenting with these new lipsticks!

Wendy says her go-to shades are Military Red and Nude Blush so I plan to try those next! Coral Red is true to the description on Sephora, a saturated red orange that suits my tan perfectly, thanks to the coral lean. I've been walking Beau and exercising outdoors recently so I've jumped up at least one foundation shade, meaning that my lipstick choices have become a bit brighter and deeper. Cherry Blossom No. 509 is a true cool baby pink, so I like to mix it with lip balm for a hint of color with additional shine that manages to lasts through my two cups of coffee in the morning.

one swipe, three swipes

The Full Kisses lipstick is free of parabens or fragrance and formulated without lanolin, in case you're allergic or sensitive to any of those ingredients. It is a truly high quality lipstick that does not dry out my lips or cause them to peel, but I do recommend giving your lips a thorough scrub prior to application since it has a slightly glossier satin finish formula. I haven't seen all the colors yet but from what I have tested, the shades are all highly pigmented and universally flattering.
