I swung by Nordstrom to pick up a couple pretty hand soaps for my new vanities, and as I was walking out, the new Bobbi Brown Everything Eyes Palette caught my eye. It's available exclusively at Nordstrom, so I decided to splurge since I've been on the road a lot and have needed a multi palette with brushes to keep in my gym bag for a few months now!
I first fell in love with Bobbi Brown around when I started YouTube, in 2010. That seems like millions of years ago! Some of you might remember that her Sheer Finish Loose Powder in Pale Yellow was my first holy grail setting powder, and I was obsessed with her full size Sparkle Eyeshadow for a year after they launched. And to this day, I still feel that Bobbi Brown's full size brushes are the best overall department store offering. Try her foundation and blush brushes first!
Now, this new Everything Eyes Palette contains nine eyeshadows and four brushes, which gives me plenty of day or night options. Nordstrom has it priced at $75, but its value is $139. Since it comes with brushes and helpful tip cards in case you need some inspiration, I do think the Everything Palette is worth the splurge.
I work out at all hours of the day, whenever I can squeeze a session into my schedule, but I usually need to look presentable afterward. I've discovered lots of little hacks for cleaning up and getting ready in the car these last two months that my apartment was being renovated! A compact multi-use palette with a variety of textures is key.
I normally like to use my clean fingers to apply my eyeshadows, but I really love the eyeshadow and eye smudge liner brushes. My favorite colors in the palette are the bottom three — Royal Navy, Brown, and Rich Plum — all which work well along the lash lines. The Halo Sparkle eyeshadow in the top right corner is also a favorite. I do recommend prepping with an eyeshadow primer first if you have the time and extra space in your makeup bag.
I was also tempted by the other new release, the Nude Finish Illuminating Powder, but I walked away with the Ink Eyeliner instead because I thought it would pair well with the Everything Palette. I've already worn it a few times with the Everything Eyes palette, and they're a perfect match!
