SK-II Clear Beauty Enamel Radiant Cream Compact and Artisan Brush Review, Photos

I first talked about SK-II's latest foundation release in my Best of J-Beauty review, but so many of you were interested in it that I decided to delve into the details! It's a phenomenal cream compact that offers medium to full coverage.

The Clear Beauty Enamel Radiant Cream Compact is an upgraded Emulsion cream foundation that is truly the best SK-II has ever created. I absolutely love the Facial Treatment Cream and still wear it, but this new compact is much easier to travel with and also provides more flexibility with coverage. I have carried the Facial Treatment Cream onto the plane with me before, but it is contained in a heavy glass jar, unlike the sleek red plastic of the Enamel Radiant Cream.

Although I use a BeautyBlender sponge with the Facial Treatment Cream, SK-II created the Artisan Brush specifically for this new cream compact so it takes the guesswork out of application. I tend to avoid synthetic brushes, but the Artisan Brush works well. Start with larger circular motions and use small cross-hatch motions to blend away streak marks.

The Radiant Cream Compact and Artisan Brush is a world class duo, one of the best on the market today. The foundation formula spreads thinly but evenly. It covers acne scarring and smoothes textural imperfections while managing to look like real skin without feeling heavy.

It doesn't have a sticky or damp finish like a lot of moisturizing cream foundations, and it does not slip or slide across my normal to dry skin. The velvety finish provides a soft-focus look so that you can skip all-over powder except on oily complexions. When I use powder to set my T-Zone on warm days, I usually reach for the Burberry Fresh Glow since it does not contain any shimmer. It matches the SK-II Enamel Radiant Cream for the most undetectable finish.

Shade References: 320 + 330
I normally use 330 in SK-II foundations, but I wear 420 in the Clear Beauty cream because it has a more flattering yellow tone. I discovered that 330 in the Clear Beauty had a stronger red lean. I love the 420 shade because it brightens without looking unnatural. There is SPF30 in the Clear Beauty Enamel Radiant Cream Compact, but make sure to wear sunscreen under this foundation during the day for complete protection!

    1. LOL! Silly me. Sunscreen in foundations isn't enough, though, so always make sure to wear a separate SPF underneath xo
