Tory Burch Lip Colors in Call Me, Ramble on Rose, and Pas du Tout Review, Photos, Swatches

Tory Burch launched her own beauty collection last year, and she has created 12 distinctive shades for her new Lip Color Collection. From tomboy neutrals to feminine pinks and bold brights, the collection is designed to flatter a variety of skin tones. Check out my swatches after the jump!

This collection of a dozen lipsticks builds on the successful launch of Tory's color, Pas du Tout. Formulated to deliver the ideal balance of sheer yet vibrant color and rich texture with a weightless finish, each lipstick is subtly scented with notes from the Tory Burch fragrance — cassis, grapefruit and mandarin. I personally adore sheer and semi-translucent lipsticks, so I was very excited to try these!

I have three lovely wearable shades to share with you. These moisturizing colors are some of the sheerest that Tory Burch offers, but I love that they pair well with minimal, everyday makeup looks.
  • RAMBLE ON ROSE is a pale rosy pink. It looks best on freshly exfoliated lips, since it can accentuate lip lines (typical of sheer nude pinks). The color melts evenly across the lips after 15 minutes, creating a smoother, full lip look. The color is a warm nude pink, so it does not look chalky at all. It may not have been love at first swipe, but I do enjoy it. Ramble on Rose is supremely natural, as wearable as a pale pink can get!
  • PAS DU TOUT is a sheer pinky nude. I can see why this effortlessly pretty, faintly shimmering veil of color is the signature shade! It is quite sheer, so if you have pigmented lips, you may want to avoid this. Pas du Tout, however, is the perfect natural nude on my light mauve-tinged lips. The creamy texture and subtle color make this appropriate for any occasion.
  • CALL ME is a warm plum with golden shimmer. This was the best of the three! I love the ultra moisturizing, glossy finish. Call Me is a semi-translucent shade with the highest shimmer content, but it did not irritate my lips whatsoever. What a pleasant surprise! I generally do not wear darker lipsticks, but this is such an easy and approachable way to wear a plum. I highly recommend it for all skin tones!

NOTE: Just Like Heaven, a sheer fuchsia, and Saucy, a warm bright pink, are better options if you prefer more pigmented pinks. The two reds, Smack Dab and Scoundrel, will most likely have the best color pay off. Swizzle, a reddened plum, and Knock on Wood, a deep berry, are the darkest two shades of the dozen. If you prefer warmer, bronzy nude lipsticks, try Son of a Gun and Tomboy!

The gold and orange packaging is undeniably eye-catching. The fretwork amps up the "it" factor and transforms the lipstick into an accessory in itself. For those that can recall it, the lightweight, colored plastic case is very reminiscent of the long discontinued YSL Rouge Pure Shine lipstick packaging. I wish the materials were weightier, more substantial, but the case itself is still chic!

I also have the Robinson Lipstick Case ($55 USD) in Tory Pink to protect the delicate lipsticks. According to the Tory Burch site, the Robinson is made of the highest-quality, scratch-resistant Italian leather. It features an interior mirror for touch-ups on the go and is finished with a signature gold metal logo. The pink is such a cheerful shade, and the case is one of the sturdiest I have encountered.

The Tory Burch Lip Colors ($32 USD each) are available now at select Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom.com and Tory Burch boutiques nationwide.

Bottom Line: The Tory Burch Lip Colors are ideal for sheer lipstick lovers who love pampering their lips!
