My Bath & Body Must-Haves: Laura Mercier, Jurlique, Philosophy, Diptyque

There are 5 staples in my bathroom at all times. The products shown in this post are my daily use products, and I only switch out to different products when I feel like treating myself to my Jo Malone stash, usually reserved for special occasions. Click to find out more after the jump!

The Laura Mercier Pistache collection is my favorite of her Bath & Body scents. It is the perfect balance of nutty and sweet, and this Honey Bath creates a frothy and hydrating bath. I like to pour while the drawing the water for maximum bubbles, but I do find you have to use quite a bit of product with each bath. And yes, I am one of those people that showers after I take a bath. You can find LM Bath & Body products at all department stores that stock her line. Next, we have the Jurlique Rose Body Oil, available through the Jurlique website. It is so beautifully fragrant, yet it does not overwhelm when paired with the fragrance of my choice. I use this to treat my dry skin woes, and I love that the formula dries down quickly. It is best to apply this right out of the shower, just as with my body lotion of choice below.

The Love Sweet Love duo by Philosophy, available at Sephora and department stores, is my favorite scent in the immense Philosophy fragrance library. It is highly underrated, so I recommend you give this a try the next time you run out of Amazing Grace. Love Sweet Love is a sweeter floral, a great affordable complement to Jo Malone's fruitier scents like the Nectarine and Honey Blossom. The Shower Gel is the pink bottle, to the right above, and it lathers well without drying out my skin. I feel squeaky clean after use, love it. I do have other Philosophy shower gels around, so I will reach for my Strawberry Milkshake or other seasonal scents to switch things up. I only ever use them as shower gels or as bubble bath. The Love Sweet Love Firming Body Emulsion, however, is the one I reach for every single day. Does it really firm up the skin? Not really. But it is a wonderful lotion, so I disregard the marketing material. It dries down quickly, hydrates the skin, does not leave a greasy film.. it is the best body lotion for daily use I have ever encountered. Jo Malone Body Cremes are my favorite luxury body splurge, but they are a bit too pricey for me to use on the daily. That is why this Love Sweet Love Firming Body Emulsion is always in rotation in my Bath & Body Must-Haves.

Last but not least of the 5 is my favorite candle of all time, Diptyque's Baies. It is a green floral, the perfect balance of roses and black currant leaves. It is a soothing scent with excellent throw, meaning that this little candle not only leaves my bathroom smelling wonderful, it manages to carry the scent all over the house! I usually leave it lit for 30 minutes to an hour.

And that is a wrap for My Bath & Body Must-Haves, hope you enjoyed seeing what is in my bathroom. Feel free to share yours in the comments below!

  1. I absolutely agree with you regarding Love Sweet Love! By far my favorite Philosophy scent. I'll have to try the moisturizer now too. Thanks!
