I've received a lot of requests for a dramatic smoky nighttime/clubbing look in the Kim Kardashian vein, and I have delivered! I'm just hoping you guys like the finished look :) It's dark and quite heavy on the eyes, but well balanced, and the best thing about this look is that it's relatively easy! Just make sure to blend well. This is my take on a long-lasting special occasion smoky eye that works for any outfit or coloring. You can substitute any of the products used, go warmer or cooler, but the Chanel Mirifique is gorgeous used as liner or eyeshadow.. a very worthy investment to amp up your make-up wardrobe!

Hi Rae, you encouraged me to get a Lancome R-I-L lipstick and it's so great. I don't think it dries out my lips, which I have that problem w/ other lip products, and peeling etc. but with this lipstick, I find that it wears well, doesn't bleed, and fades over time into a light tinge of the original shade.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid you made me want to buy more of them.
Hi do you put your contacts on before you start applying your eye makeup or after? I wear soft lenses and I find I get eyeliner or mascara on them accidentally and then I have to toss them Because they don't come off the lenses. For this reason, I never bother lining the waterline. Help.
ReplyDeleteOmg I love the mirifique. Is that still available? Beautiful look! I liked the 2nd gloss better
ReplyDeletehi, Rae~ I love your nail color but I can't find the color in platinum... What is the real name of your nail color?
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I have a question though. You seem to use this pink sponge like buffer to apply your make-up on. What is it?
ReplyDeleteI use something similar from Korea called an air-puff. You spray mineral water (like Avene thermal spray) on the puff, put the foundation on your face in four dots, and puff the puff/sponge all over your face for a dewey finish. It's the trend in Korea. But I moved back so no more air cushion puffs for me :( Here's a link to show you: http://blog.daum.net/namnan/7753298
The puff looks like a regular puff, but there's a cushion of air inside ^^
Hey rae!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you thought the dolce and gabban powder foundation looked natural? Do you think its good for the summer on its own? And I think I'm around your skin tone as nc25/30, is caramel or warm a better choice? Thanks
