I dislike cream textures with too much slip because they cause my skin to look excessively oily. They tend to migrate easily, and because I rarely ever touch-up my make-up, it's too much of a hassle to bother with. The texture of the Makeup Forever Aqua Creams, however, is fairly dry. This makes them a little more difficult to spread but much longer-lasting on the skin. These are touted as waterproof, after all! I don't wear 5 on my cheeks often but when I do, I use the Sigma Angled Kabuki F84 to apply and I love that the color doesn't budge, even with 5 hours of wear.
5 is a peachy pink with gold flecks, perfect for application on the cheeks or lips. It leans strongly peach, much more so than the NARS Orgasm Multiple, but it has a similar feel because of the golden flecks.
For the perfect high-shine, shimmering peach lip, I like to apply my Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick in 9, a dark brick-based peach, and then top it with this Aqua Cream. I prefer to use my index finger to dab it on but you can use a brush. [If you use a finger, make sure it's clean and don't double dip to keep your make-up fresh!] Then I top the combination with my Chanel Glossimer in Galactic for moisture and extra shine. I'll wear the lip in my Favorites video this month so you can see the trio in action.
Bottom Line: If this is the peach shade you've been looking for, it's a wonderful multi-tasking product that is very much worth the $22 price tag.
I was thinking about how I wanted to try this yesterday!

ReplyDeleteHi Rae, may I know what camera you use to take your makeup pictures? Do you use a professional one or just a basic digital one? Also, how about the lightning? I need to take some closed up pictures for a project but somehow they always come out yellowish. Thank you!
