Tarte Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Blissful Review, Photos, Swatches
I have only tested a few Tarte products in the past, as the line does not call to me much and what I have tried - the lip stains and a few samples of various products - are very mediocre. Tarte's Amazonian Clay powder blushes, however, have taken YouTube by storm recently so I figured I ought to give one a shot. I love a long-lasting powder blush as much as any other beauty junkie, and I usually turn to Chanel's for shimmers and Illamasqua's for mattes [my favorite is Katie], but I think Tarte's are a solid second choice for mattes.
I walked into Sephora with the intention of purchasing either Dollface [too lavendar] or Tipsy [too bright and shimmery] but I eventually walked out with the shade Blissful, as it was the most unique addition out of the Tarte line-up to my blush collection. Blissful is a warm peach with a hint of brown and it is a very pigmented shade that does not oxidize on my skin.
Overall, I find it to be a neutral shade to wear daily. It does run on the warmer side but I can wear it with most eyeshadow combinations, making it a great travel companion - plus, the compact is sturdy, quite weighty. I can't positively say I will purchase another shade because I really don't need another blush but I would repurchase Blissful if I ever hit pan!
Bottom Line: Tarte's produced a winner with these Amazonian Clay blushes and you should own at least one.
