Chanel Fall 2014 États Poétiques Review, Photos, Swatches + Tutorial

Chanel releases its Fall collections earlier and earlier every year, it seems! The États Poétiques Collection, however, was a pleasant surprise and I'm so happy to share my thoughts with you today. I saw a few criticisms buzzing around the blogosphere, but I found that all the products I purchased apply beautifully.

The Innocence blush and Hesitation eyeshadow are perfect for everyday use, and the Songe and Rose Reve Glosimmer lip glosses are bound to please any pale pink lip addict. The sleeper that shook up this collection's game was the reformulated and re-released Ecriture de Chanel eyeliner! The performance undoubtedly bests the now discontinued Automnatic version, and the formula is no longer flaky. Well done, Chanel!

FYI: All the photos above were taken in natural lighting. My favorite products from États Poétiques are the Songe lip gloss and Ecriture eyeliner, but I also recommend Hesitation and Innocence to natural makeup lovers. And last but not least, all three nail polishes are worthy of the Chanel price tag, so of course you should try and splurge on at least one!

    1. Yes, it's worth having both.. totally different applicator styles and the Chanel is more matte in finish.
