EM Michelle Phan Cosmetics Comprehensive Makeup Review + Smoky Eye Tutorial

I have planned this video for weeks, so I am very excited to share my em michelle phan cosmetics Makeup Review & Tutorial today! This is NOT a first impressions review, since I have been testing and wearing the products for the past month. The lipsticks and lip palette are phenomenal, very affordable products that are the stand-outs in the range. I love the modern metal bullets, which are sleek and cool to the touch. Some have asked about the lasting power, which is ultra long wearing. The two colors I own are brighter and darker, so they last for a good six to eight hours depending on how how much I eat or drink. They also leave behind pretty stains which can be topped with lip gloss.
The signature Life Palettes may be big ticket items, but the quantity of product provided is impressive and the value of the refillable system is undeniable. I prefer to use my clean fingertips to apply the majority of the shimmery, metallic, and glitter eyeshadows. On the other hand, I use stiff natural-haired brushes (like MAC's 239 Flat Shader or Tom Ford's Eye Shadow Contour brushes) to apply the matte and satin eyeshadows for full color payoff. I have been reaching for the Love Me for Me powder foundation (best on normal to oily skin) often these days since it can provide matte full coverage, so I recommend it to those looking for a silky finish powder. It can be used to set liquid foundation or worn alone with some concealer!
The Waterliner eye pencil liners are creamy and adhere well to my waterlines. I will definitely be purchasing a few more colors with the metallic finish, like Ro's Gold and Bronze Kiss, since I love that they are vibrant but do not budge. The retractable packaging is great, as there is no waste from sharpening like with traditional eyeliner pencils. As much as I have enjoyed the eye and lip products, however, I hope em michelle phan cosmetics will release individual bronzers and traditional lip glosses in tube form soon!

  1. Rae would you say that the lip colors in the life palette are similar overall to the individual creamy lip sticks? I LOVE the lip colors in the career life palette and after hearing you rave about the creamy lipsticks I'm just curious to hear how they compare! Thank you!
p.s. I watched your review twice, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

    1. Jenny, the majority of the lip colors in the Life Palettes I have tested are the glosses! I would stick to the individual Creamy lipsticks if you prefer full color payoff :)

  2. I love the turquoise liner combined with the smokey eye! Will try that asap :). How is the lasting power of the creamy lipsticks compared to Rouge D'Armani? xx

  3. Your tutorials are delightful, Rae. You've got such a warm and friendly personality. Now that I got that bit of fan gushing out of the way (lol) I want to thank you for all the reviews you've been doing on Michelle's new line. I have several teenage nieces who are fans of hers and would love to try her products. After reading your various reviews, I plan on getting them The Life Palettes for holiday gifts. They'll be thrilled to receive them and I'll have fun selecting the right palette for the right young woman.

Apropos the empty mixing well in the lip palette. What a great idea! I've had the privilege of having my makeup done by some of the finest makeup artists and they never use just one lip color on me. Never! It's amazing how they can take a couple colors and combine them into the perfect custom color. The combination you used is a perfect example of that. That red makes your complexion and eyes glow.
