We are more than a month into 2013.. where has all the time drained to? I am constantly on the go, and I love the productivity, but I wish I could slow time down. Not even to relax, just to reflect! I hope the first month of this new year has treated you as kindly as it has treated me.. And FYI this is strictly a Favorites month, as I have no misses to share with you, so I hope you do not mind!
P.S. Feel free to take a peek at the photos from my zoo tour HERE!

I wanted to share with everyone my special Santa Barbara trip before I uploaded my January Favorites video tonight, so I hope you do not mind the back to back photo diaries! Here you will find the vast majority are animal stills, since my boyfriend surprised me with a private "behind-the-scenes" tour of the Santa Barbara Zoo. We learned so much from the keepers, who were kind enough to answer all our questions, guided us through the animals' sleeping quarters, and even allowed us to give treats to some of the animals. I have visited the San Diego Zoo, which is by far larger, but the Santa Barbara Zoo is well edited and immaculately maintained.
Panoramic Views of the Strip from the Cosmo Balcony
As some of you may have noticed from my tweets and Instagram posts, my loving boyfriend (aka the mister) swept me away to Las Vegas a couple weeks ago for a little getaway. We stayed at the Cosmopolitan, which we were both fond of and can safely recommend. It is a rather oddly decorated hotel, a hodgepodge of themes, but our Wraparound Suite was classically furnished and the bedding was heavenly. There are crystal chandeliers all over the hotel, with pink LED lights to add some feminine flair, so it is no wonder the Cosmo is popular with the ladies.
Some of you may have noticed, but I have been experiencing a bout of acne recently. There are many factors involved (hormones, lack of sleep, not removing makeup before sleeping, etc.), but the bottom line is that I have felt the pressure to resolve it. I have been using the new Clarins Double Serum, which can be found HERE, and it has been deeply hydrating and calming my skin. I demonstrate how I apply the serum to my bare face and discuss in detail the positive effects I have seen in the last week of use in the video below! I know it is working because it is the only skin care I have been using as of late. Hope you have wonderful weekend xo
Also, I will continue to discuss my hot yoga journey. I plan to write up a blog post soon discussing some of the equipment and towels I have been using! Let me know if you have any further questions :)
