Shu Uemura x Ambush Collaboration Review, Photos, Swatches #Ad

Shu Uemura recently collaborated with Japanese jewelry brand Ambush, and it's one of the most fresh and funky yet wearable collections they've unveiled in ages. My favorites are the mixed silver and gold lipstick bullets with the modern stamped logo look. Each of the shades is supremely luxe.

The mattes have a plush whipped texture that smooths lip lines and the shine formula is shimmery but feels like liquid gold. Shu Uemura might have tweaked the formula a bit on these, because they seem a little bit better than usual. More details and photos after the jump!

This review was sponsored by Shu Uemura, but as always, all opinions expressed are my own. I truly adore this collection because the textures and colors and packaging is spot-on! I love the Ambush aesthetic, as it is truly balanced in my eyes.

All live swatches can be found in the video intro, see below! I hope you find them helpful in narrowing down your cart. If you can only purchase one item from this collection, make it a lipstick. If you don't wear lipstick, I recommend the blush or the peach eyeshadow.

Also, please keep in mind that I've been experiencing pretty severe hormonal break outs due to minimal inconsistent sleep and adrenal fatigue. You'll see the inflamed cystic acne on my cheeks and chin during the tutorial portion while I'm applying the eyeshadows. Obviously, no one wants to have problematic skin so I'm working on healing it from the inside out. It has been a painful and stressful couple months, but my skin is slowly but surely recovering!
