The start of this new year has been interesting to say the least. From moving (again) to health and fitness to makeup, I feel that so much of my life has changed, and for the better. My skin is nowhere near perfect, but it improved greatly in 2015 and I am proud of the progress. Since I am finally free of cystic breakouts and purple welts, I love going sheer and weightless when it comes to my base makeup!
Although the flat matte airbrushed look is appropriate for certain occasions, I have learned to embrace my skin even in its bare state. That is why I rely on Burberry for the most believable color match and plush textures when it comes to my complexion.
This review is brought to you in partnership with Burberry, but most of you know I have been wearing their foundation since the brand's inception. The reformulated Fresh Glow Fluid Foundation glides across the face but can still cover redness and minor discolorations with ease just like the Sheer formula did. Even when layered, the Fresh Glow formula mimics the look of real skin and does not require finishing powder to last throughout the day. There's a hint of shimmer but it makes my skin look bouncy and smooth, not greasy.
On my normal to dry skin, I like to use one pump of Beige and another of Ochre Nude, which will give me medium coverage and wear for eight hours — no shifting or creasing. It does not accentuate the larger pores around my nose. The Fresh Glow Fluid can be paired with the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base/primer and Fresh Glow Compact Foundation for additional coverage and truly flawless results. I oftentimes mix the primer with my foundation for a more noticeably dewy effect because my skin has been feeling quite dry. I wear the Compact in Ochre Nude when used on top of the Fresh Glow Fluid Foundation and Ochre when worn alone on top of sunscreen and the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base.

The Cashmere Concealer is the newest additional to Burberry's base makeup range and it is phenomenal under the eyes. It can also be used on blemishes in a pinch. Some creamy concealers tend to slip around too much or cause my eyeliner to smudge, but the Cashmere formula manages to brighten without looking or feeling cakey. It does not disrupt the rest of the makeup I have on, and it lasts for at least four hours without creeping into my fine lines, which is a record high these days. I have faint dark circles but this concealer covers everything with just a few dabs of the sponge applicator and a quick blend with a clean fingertip.
I currently own Porcelain and Ivory, the two lightest shades. I like to mix them together to achieve the perfect under eye tone since Porcelain is yellow-based while Ivory is truly pink. On the rest of my face, I would require Honey. The Cashmere Concealers are free of fragrance and suitable for sensitive eyes as well as contact lens wearers. It's my favorite concealer these days!
