Chanel Fall 2012 Makeup Collection Review [with Swatches!] + Tutorial Video Details

Chanel does it again! The Fall 2012 offerings were indeed what beauty connoisseurs would deem "essentials." Nothing is limited edition except for the two Rouge Allure Extrait de Glosses in Caprice and Troublant. I posted swatches of most of the products in the Fall range at the bottom of this post! In the video, I also covered the limited edition, Asia-exclusive Chanel Le Blanc Collection (not to be confused with Chanel's newest skin care line) that is available at exclusively at Nordstrom for their Anniversary Sale. Watch the video and you'll see, you don't want to miss out! Happy shopping <3

Products Used/Worn:

YSL Touche Eclat in 8

*The Le Blanc Blush is called Fleur de Lotus, the Fall 2012 Blush is Rose Initiale. FdL is a neutral
bright coral and the RI is a warm medium pink. They did not look spectacular on me, so I passed.
Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in Ruban Rose
Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Caprice

Shown but not used in tutorial: Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Riviere
Shown and not reviewed: The Fall 2102 Highlighter.. passed because I really do not need another. Sorry! It was a finely milled, shimmery light gold powder. Beautiful but I couldn't justify it.

Nails:
Chanel Frenzy

Shirt:
H&M

Earrings:
Stella & Dot

Lenses:
Clear Prescription

And last, but not least.. swatches of most of the Fall 2012 Collection. I left out the eyeshadow quad, Premier Regard and Waterproof Liners because they're pretty straightforward.

  1. I'd totally go for the blush this time...it has the perfect rosy pink factor I love.
And yes, beauty fantatics deem almost every new collection as essentials ;)

  2. Per your recommendation, I ended up buying the Frenzy nail polish. It's my first Chanel polish, and WOW...the formula is impressive. Dries fast and it's so smooth. Thanks, Rae!
