THE TEN | Best Skin Care Products for Acne & Acne Scarring + My Acne Story

Today's long post is dedicated to my acne story. Thanks to the magic of genetics and the influence of my skin care-obsessed grandmother, I never had insecurities about my skin and have almost always maintained clear, healthy skin. I never struggled with acne until last year, when I had a severe bout of cystic acne due to facial waxing. Lesson learned: NEVER EVER wax the face! I had waxed my brows successfully via the Benefit Brow Bar, so I figured I might as well wax off the little peach fuzz around my forehead and cheeks. I couldn't have been more wrong. My skin was fine for the first couple months, but then the cystic acne appeared. I immediately stopped waxing, but I suffered from active break-outs for nearly six months thereafter, wave after wave. Juice Beauty Organic & Natural Makeup Review + "Juicy Glam" Tutorial

Juice Beauty has finally unveiled their complete, well-edited lineup of natural and organic cosmetics. I cannot live without the Clearing Mask and signature Full Strength Apple Peel, so I was very excited to share my favorite Juice Beauty makeup products as well. I reviewed some of the products in the introduction and then demonstrated my take on the "Juicy Glam" look as outlined on their website. It is a natural yet feminine look that is appropriate for any occasion! July 2013 Favorites: Best of Complexion Makeup + Brights

July was a great month for me! So much has been changing for the better and most noticeably, my hormonal acne has been healing up quite well. I have never been more happy and grateful for all the positives in my life. I hope this summer has been just as fun for you as well! NEW IN: Makeup, Skincare , Fashion, and Fitness Haul

There is a little bit of something for everyone in this haul! Instead of focusing on just one category of product, I figured I would combine all the beauty and clothing items I've accumulated in the last month here. There is a brief fitness update with a couple new Lululemon pieces at the end for those who are as addicted as I am! As usual, these are mostly 'first impression' thoughts since I have yet to fully test all the makeup and skin care products. I will get to reviewing everything here on the blog or in upcoming Favorites episodes, so make sure to stay tuned.
