I filmed a video for my top Spring 2012 Nail Polish picks, and I had planned to film a separate video for the limited edition make-up pieces, but I figured that would be redundant since I have filmed so many seasonal brand review + tutorial videos recently! I decided, instead, that a post would be more useful shopping guide to help you select which limited edition pieces to invest in. Yes, that means all the products shown in this post are limited editions, so if something strikes your fancy, go get it before it's gone!

MAC Butterfly Party Crushed Metal Pigment Review, Photos, Swatches

This is the first stack of MAC Crushed Metal Pigments I have ever purchased. I prefer working with pressed shadows, which are far less messy, but this set was too beautiful to pass up. This particular limited edition stack from the Vera Collection, $34, comes with four highly metallic shades - Rain Drop, Moss Garden, Butterfly Party, and Desert Cloud.

MAC Call Me Bubbles Eyeshadow Quad from Shop Shop Shop Cook Cook Cook Review, Photos, Swatches

I have not purchased a MAC eyeshadow quad in years. The Shop Shop Shop Cook Cook Cook Collection includes three eyeshadow quads, Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, and Colour Added. Call Me Bubbles did not strike me as a must have from the swatches I saw online, but once I saw it in store, I knew it was worth the splurge. Then I applied it to my lids and fell in love.

I know I said the Laura Mercier Review + Tutorial video would be the last of Spring 2012 collection coverage, but I got an overwhelming request for a MAC review. I wasn't interested enough in a single MAC collection to review it alone and to be frank, there are just too many MAC collections released each season for me to cover them all! That's why I came up with this collective review. I did lose a bit of the footage when transferring the files to my computer, but I hope you'll still find the quick tutorial at the end helpful. Tammy said the final look made me look like a Twilight vampire, one that only eats animals LOL I think it was the combination of the warm brown contacts and the coral-themed eye! Hope you enjoy :)

I cannot remember the last NARS seasonal collection to pique my interest, but Spring 2012 was actually quite beautiful! The limited edition single eyeshadow, Lhasa, $23, was the first to draw me in. Still, I only splurged on it because Cafe Makeup and Makeup Magpie raved about it. Was it worth it?

YSL Candy Face Spring 2012 Tutorial + Review Video Details

YSL's Spring Candy Face collection is definitely one of the most unique. It's pastel, glitter, translucent.. very candy-esque! YSL didn't focus on either green or orange or pink like most of the Spring collections we have seen and instead, chose to offer a variety of all the shades that are reminiscent of the season. This makes for a fun shopping experience for the consumer, so many versatile products! There is something here for everyone :)

YSL No. 13 Candy Ombres 5 Lumieres Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2012 Review, Photos, Swatches

The Ombres 5 Lumieres Palette in 13 for YSL's Spring 2012 Candy Face Collection, $56, is breathtaking. It brings out the little girl in me! I purchased it as soon as my local YSL counter received the shipment, even before the testers arrived. The cotton candy color scheme might seem juvenile to some but this eyeshadow palette is surprisingly wearable and it is a great alternative to the various greens that have overrun this season's eyeshadow palettes. Doesn't it remind you of Easter eggs?

Guerlain Spring 2012 Collection Review + Tutorial Video Details

The Pinks and the Blacks is the best collection that Guerlain has released in recent memory. I carefully select my Guerlain pieces, but as you can see, I have amassed quite a few of the Spring pieces because I loved them so much! This collection has a lot of variety. As usual, I skipped the pink eyeshadow quad and the pink eyeshadow quint since I rarely ever wear pinks on my eyes, but I tried to add as much variety as possible to my selections. Guerlain released four gorgeous pink Rouge G lipsticks for this Spring, titled the Rose Collection. I chose the shade I least expected to like but upsets are not uncommon in the game of pink lipsticks, right? I only purchased one of the four but I do have swatches of the other three for you to compare Rose Piquant to!

Dior Waterlily 504 Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches

There is nothing more reminiscent of spring than a minty or leafy green nail polish. It brightens up my mood and my neutral outfits. Dior's Garden Party polish in Waterlily, $23, even smells faintly of roses! It is the perfect nail color for Spring.

Chanel Eclosion Eyeshadow Quad Review, Photos, Swatches

I just posted my Chanel Spring 2012 Video Review + Tutorial earlier today so I figured I should review this quad tonight! Eclosion wasn't love at first sight but after using the taupe, I knew I had to keep it. Chanel eyeshadows aren't pigmented in the same way MAC and Inglot eyeshadows are. They're smooth but very refined and never garish. Eclosion, however, has one major downfall: glitter.
