Obscene October Haul

I mentioned in my latest video that my friend Stella has an E-bay store. She sells limited edition MAC and Chanel products and all of them are GENUINE authentic! I know this because she purchases her products from Chanel boutiques at retail prices :) She's an honest and lovely woman! We met at my 7FAM Greet and I can't wait to see her again <3

Anyway, I got SO many requests for her store's link. I fell asleep after uploading the video so I forgot to include it in the description box! For those interested, her ebay ID is bigchefcooking and her store is called StellasHTFstyle! Blogger refuses to auto-link at the moment so here is the link that you can copy & paste into your browser: http://stores.ebay.com/stellashtfstyle

Happy LE hunting!

P.S. I will post my last minute 3 Looks in 1 Video of Halloween tutorials tonight!

REVIEW: Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss - Imaginaire, 56

The Extrait de Gloss is new for Fall 2010 and they are long-lasting glosses intended to replace the Aqualumieres. As much as I loved the non-tacky texture of the Aqualumiere glosses, their one-hour wear repelled me from repurchasing.

Imaginaire is a Barbie pink of sheer to medium pigmentation that wears for a good four to five hours, even when I have been drinking! I drink a lot of water throughout the day so I prefer a gloss that I do not have to reapply with every sip. There are nearly imperceptible shimmers in the formula but under fluorescent lighting, Imaginaire looks like a typical pink. You can slick it on alone for a beach bum, casual weekend look or layer it over your favorite pink lipstick on a night out for a sexy, glossy pout. [My lippie of choice at the moment is Chanel's Rouge Coco in Chintz]. Imaginaire is not life changing in any way but I love how wearable on a daily basis it is and how easy it is to apply it. I adore the new beveled applicator. It's not as porous as the Glossimer's doe foot and the pointer end allows me to precisely apply the product inside the corners of my mouth.

The packaging is sleek and topped with gold. It's quite weighty, in the same way that Rouge Allure Laques are, but it's not nearly as heavy as a Rouge G lipstick. It attracts fingerprints but what can you expect from black glass? I do recommend that you handle the lipgloss carefully as the first one I purchased was damaged near the gold top. There was a sizable chunk broken off from the rest of the cap's back glass. I think it may have been dropped during transportation to the store as it was a brand new, straight out of the drawer product but the Saks Fifth Avenue in Las Vegas was quick to exchange my chipped good for a new one so it wasn't too much of a bother.

I was impressed by the varied color range, even though Chanel has only produced 13 colors thus far, and will definitely purchase more in the future. They're not my #1 must-haves because I am the queen of shimmery glosses but what can I say? Chanel, you have done it again!

Bottom line: It's a well-constructed and well-designed product. If you prefer long-lasting glosses without shimmers [a la YSL Gloss Pur], then you're going to love these new Extrait de Glosses!

Chanel Fall 2010 Thoughts & Tutorial Product List

Chanel's Fall Collection was released at least a month or two ago but I hadn't the opportunity to post the tutorial until now. I hope it isn't too late for you to purchase any of the items if you decide you want a few after watching the tutorial! Personally, I think the must-haves are Paradoxal Nail Varnish, Chintz Rouge Coco, and Taupe Gris Ombre Essentielle. The Enigma Quad is a hit or miss, depending on your preference for glittery eyeshadows. I liked the Pink Explosion blush [mostly because of the Euro baked pan and plush packaging] but I didn't fall in love with the color. Lancome's French Coquettes Collection is my favorite fall collection but Chanel's is a close runner-up.

Products Used:
Chanel Teint Innocence in Gentle Ivory
Chanel Poudre Douce in Peche Tendre
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
Chanel Eyeshadow Quad in Enigma
Chanel Single Eyeshadow in Taupe Gris
Chanel Ombre D'eau in Cascade [Shimmery White liquid shadow]
Darkness Lashes in XOS
Chanel Joues Contraste in Pink Explosion
Chanel Glossimer in Venus

9/30 Meet and Greet @ The Warehouse Sale's 7 for All Mankind Event - Los Angeles Convention Center

I know many of you have requested a meet and greet but I haven’t much opportunity to escape my busy life’s responsibilities. This Thursday, however, I will be spending the afternoon at the Los Angeles Convention Center for the Warehouse Sale’s 7 For All Mankind event!

Thursday is actually the media event and I received VIP tickets so that whoever is able to attend can come meet and shop with me! Jeans will be 65 a piece, a steal, and 7FAM clothing [tops, sweaters, tees] will also be available! The event is from noon until eight pm but I will only be present from noon to two at the latest. Please try to make it before noon because I will be there 30 minutes early to chat and pass out the VIP passes ☺ Once I enter the event, I will not be able to make it back out to distribute more passes!

Los Angeles Convention Center Address:
South Hall J – 1201 S. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA 90015

RSVP for the Public Event [Friday, Saturday, and Sunday]: http://www.7forallmankind.thewarehousesale.com/

I have worn 7FAM jeans since I was a teenager in high school and they have since been my go-to daily wear denim brand ever since. I actually visited The Warehouse on Friday and reviewed a few of my favorite pieces that will be available at the sale! Think of it as an exclusive sneak peek from yours truly! I discuss the various cuts and quality of the pieces my twin sister is modeling. We’re very meticulous shoppers so the video may offer you some insight about how we pick our clothes! I will post the video in a few hours and update this post with a blog link.

If you can’t make it on Thursday afternoon but are interested in the sale, it opens up to the public on Friday and will remain open until Sunday. The denim will be sold upon the first come, first serve bases but there are THOUSANDS of pieces available so you aren’t hard-pressed to arrive on Thursday.

For more information, please visit the website! And don’t give up just because you can’t make it to my meet and greet! There are sales in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago so leave a comment if you have questions and I’ll do my best to address them.

I will announce on twitter my location at the convention center so please stay tuned!

See you all there <3

P.S. I'm not making any commission off the sales. Since I love designer denim and talk about it frequently, I figured my viewers would be interested in snagging a great deal on worthwhile jeans and get to meet me, too! Hitting two birds with one stone, haven't you heard? ^_~
